This retrieval tool is the study-with-AI cheatsheet and the practice that gets you through the closed-book paper exam β€” your portfolio’s final proof.

Build a retrieval tool for your own paper test β€” and run one round.

Pick real content you have to know for the closed-book paper test. Build ONE retrieval tool and actually use it once (200–300 words + the tool):

  1. The content β€” what you need to know, and how you’ve been revising it so far.
  2. The tool β€” make one: a set of recall questions, a blank-page brain-dump prompt, or a flashcard deck. Show it.
  3. Run it cold β€” do one round closed-book. Write what you produced.
  4. Check β€” open the source: what did you get right, and what holes did the blank expose?
  5. The plan β€” when will you space the next round, and which gaps will you target?

You pass when your tool forces PRODUCTION from memory (not recognition), you ran it closed-book, and you named the gaps it exposed β€” because the gaps are the point.
