The Last Station: The Cure
“Mexico won the match... but deep beneath Seoul, victory turned into infection, friendship turned into survival, and one broken soul became humanity's last cure.”
Week 2: the film unit
Each crew built its trailer in four moves, in this order: the music first, then the still frames, then those stills animated into moving clips, then the clips cut to the track that already existed. Every crew worked in roles: producer, director, editor and sound engineer. Working to finished music means the edit is timed to real beats instead of music being stretched over a cut that is already locked, and it is the order the course took from Curious Refuge, the AI filmmaking school, so crews worked the way the industry does. Each crew also built a website to sell its film, and presented that site and the trailer together at the cohort’s own film festival. Every trailer plays here in full, and the promo sites are one click further in.
